Terms of Service

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Thanks for using Pack Time! We built it so you and your friends can share a daily photo of your pets, keep each pet's streak going, and look back on the moments that matter. Because we can't know every user personally, these Terms of Service ("Terms") set the ground rules for using our product.

When we say "Pack Time," "we," "us," or "our," we mean LINQING LLC, which operates Pack Time.

When we say "Services," we mean the Pack Time iOS app distributed through the Apple App Store, the Pack Time widget, the Pack Time website at packtime.app (including invite links), and all features we provide today or add in the future. Features include daily posts, pet profiles, streaks and Rest Days, friends and invitations, comments and reactions, pet sitter access, memorial pet profiles, "On this day" memories, recaps, Pack Passes, daily prompts, milestones, and notifications.

Accounts sign in with a phone number and a one-time code sent by text message.

When we say "you" or "your," we mean the person who creates an account or otherwise uses the Services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page and let you know in the app or by email. By continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect, you agree to the updated Terms. These Terms include a limitation of our liability. Please read them carefully.

If you violate these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access. If you have questions, contact us at packtime@packtime.app.

Account Terms

  1. Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Services. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
  2. Account security. You are responsible for keeping your account secure, including your phone number, your device, and any one-time codes you receive. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized access to your account if you did not keep your credentials secure.
  3. Real people only. Accounts created by bots, scrapers, or other automated means are not permitted.
  4. Your content and activity. You are responsible for the content you post and the activity that occurs under your account, including posts, captions, comments, reactions, pets you add, and invitations you send.
  5. Pets and other people. You may only add pets you own, or pets you have been given permission to care for as a pet sitter. Only post photos of other people if they have agreed to be photographed and shared. Owners are responsible for who they share their pets with, and for any sitter access they grant.
  6. Acceptable use. You may not use the Services to break the law; harass, threaten, or bully others; post sexual, violent, or hateful content; depict animal cruelty or harm; offer animals for sale or trade; distribute spam or malware; attempt to probe or breach our systems; or interfere with other users' use of the Services. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You can report content or people and block anyone from within the app. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that violates these rules, and suspend or ban the accounts that posted it.
  7. Reporting and blocking. You can report posts, comments, pets, or profiles, and you can block other users. We review reports and may remove content or restrict accounts. For urgent safety concerns, contact packtime@packtime.app.
  8. Accurate information. You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date.

Friends, Sharing, and Sitters

  1. Mutual friendships. Friendships require both people to accept. Sharing pets with a friend means that friend can see the pet and any posts tagged with it.
  2. Sitter access. An owner can give a pet sitter time-limited access to specific pets. Sitter access is limited to the period and pets the owner chooses, can be shortened or revoked at any time, and ends automatically when a pet is memorialized.
  3. Unfriending and blocking. If you unfriend someone or block them, shared pets and sitter access between you are removed.

Memorial Pets

Owners may mark a pet as memorialized. Memorialized pets keep their timeline and comments, and posting for that pet stops. Streaks are frozen at their value on the day before the passing date. Days between the passing and the day the owner marks the pet are not counted as missed days.

Owners can add past photos as memories, and can undo memorialization within 30 days of marking a pet. We will handle memorial pets with care. We don't send reminders, streak alerts, or celebratory messages for memorialized pets.

Streaks, Rest Days, and Features

Streaks, Rest Days, milestones, prompts, and other engagement features are designed to encourage a daily habit, but they are not guaranteed. Rest Days are earned and limited according to the rules shown in the app, and we may change those rules with reasonable notice. Engagement features are not a right, and they can be changed or removed.

Pack Time is not a substitute for veterinary care. Do not rely on Pack Time for medical advice, pet health decisions, or emergencies. If your pet needs urgent care, contact a veterinarian or emergency animal hospital.

Free Service and Premium

  1. Free features. Pack Time's core features are free, including daily posts, streaks and Rest Days, friends, comments and reactions, pet sitter access, "On this day" memories, recaps, and the widget. We do not sell your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle information.
  2. Premium. Pack Time Premium is an optional paid upgrade that adds extra features, such as posting older photos, posting more photos per pet each day, and additional Pack Pass themes. It is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
  3. Billing through Apple. All purchases are made and billed through your Apple ID and the Apple App Store, and Apple's terms apply to them. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
  4. Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.
  5. Free trials. If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until it ends. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and then renews automatically. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you purchase a subscription.
  6. Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, and you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a purchase is refunded, the Premium it provided ends.
  7. Lifetime purchase. A lifetime purchase provides Premium for as long as we offer Pack Time and Premium, through the Apple ID used to buy it. You can restore it with "Restore Purchases". It unlocks the Pack Time account it was bought on. If that account is deleted, restoring it on another account moves it there.
  8. Price changes. We may change prices. Apple will notify you before a subscription price increase applies to you and, where required, ask for your consent. Price changes do not affect a lifetime purchase you have already made.
  9. Changes to plans. We may change which features are included in the free and Premium tiers with reasonable notice.

Notifications

You can choose which notifications you receive in the app, and you can change those choices at any time. Some notifications are part of the Services, such as sign-in codes and important account or security messages, and you cannot turn those off.

Cancellation and Termination

  1. Closing your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app: open the Me tab, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm.
  2. What happens to your data. When your account is deleted, your profile, posts, comments, reactions, friendships, shares, invitations, sitter grants, notifications, and device tokens are removed from active systems. Pets you co-own stay with the other owners. Pets only you own are deleted, along with their photos. Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited time before they are purged.
  3. Replies from others. Deleting your account also removes other people's replies to your comments and any of their posts that feature only a pet you own and that is deleted. Please keep this in mind before you delete your account.
  4. Our right to suspend or terminate. We may suspend or terminate your account, or refuse access to the Services, if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we reasonably believe your use is harmful to the Services or other users. We will try to give notice when practical, except in urgent cases such as abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
  5. Abuse of our team. Verbal, physical, written, or other abuse, including threats, directed at anyone working on Pack Time may result in immediate account termination.

Changes to the Service

  1. We are constantly improving Pack Time. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that any particular feature will remain available.
  2. If we introduce fees for features you previously used for free, we will give you reasonable advance notice before charging you.

Uptime, Security, and Privacy

  1. Availability. We work to keep Pack Time available and reliable, but the Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Downtime, maintenance, or outages may occur.
  2. Fair use. We may temporarily limit or throttle access if usage is far above typical levels and negatively affects the Services for others. We will try to contact you first when possible.
  3. Security. We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including encryption, private storage for photos, and access rules that limit who can see each post. No system is perfectly secure, and you use the Services at your own risk.
  4. Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Services, you agree that we may process your data as described there.
  5. Support access. We may access your account data when you ask for help, when we need to fix a bug or security issue, when required by law, or to investigate abuse reports. We aim to access only the data we need, and when feasible, we will ask for your permission first.
  6. Service providers. We rely on trusted providers to run Pack Time, including hosting and database services, photo storage, sign-in and text message delivery, push notifications, and in-app purchases through Apple. The Privacy Policy describes these providers and how they handle data.

Your Content and Our License

  1. You keep ownership of the content you submit to the Services, including photos, videos, captions, comments, reactions, and pet profile information. You grant us a limited license to host, store, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Services for you and the people you share it with.
  2. You confirm that you have the rights to post your content, and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights, including the privacy rights of people shown in your photos.
  3. We do not review all content before it is posted, but we may remove content that violates these Terms or the law. We may use automated filters to block abusive words.
  4. Pack Time's name, logo, design, and underlying software are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Services without our written permission.
  5. If you believe content on Pack Time infringes your copyright, contact us at packtime@packtime.app with enough detail for us to investigate.

Apple App Store

If you download Pack Time from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app, in addition to these Terms. If these Terms and Apple's terms conflict, Apple's terms control for matters covered by Apple's terms. Apple is not responsible for the Services, and Apple has no obligation to provide support for them.

Features and Bugs

We design Pack Time carefully and test before we ship, but no software is perfect. Features may not work exactly as you expect, and bugs will happen. We do not guarantee that the Services will meet your specific requirements or be error-free. We prioritize fixes for security, privacy, and data-loss issues.

Third-Party Services

Pack Time relies on third-party services, such as Apple for the app and push notifications, and providers for sign-in text messages and hosting. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not control how they handle data beyond our agreements with them.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LINQING LLC and Pack Time shall not be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Services, unauthorized access to your data, the conduct of other users, or any other matter relating to these Terms, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars ($50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
